€10,000 PRIZE FUND HEADLINES 2026 SEAT SUPERCUP IRELAND SEASON

The 2026 SEAT Supercup Ireland Championship is set to raise the stakes with the announcement of a €10,000 cash prize fund, adding significant incentive to what is already one of the most competitive and exciting touring car series in Ireland.

Organised and sanctioned by Motorsport Ireland, SEAT Supercup Ireland continues to showcase identical SEAT León Supercopa machinery built by SEAT Sport. Producing 340bhp, operated through paddle-shift DSG gearboxes and running on Hankook racing tyres & VP Race fuel, the cars deliver true international-level touring car performance, with lap times comparable to modern TCR machinery. With over 300 units built worldwide, the Supercopa platform is proven, reliable and designed to put driver talent at the forefront.

For the 2026 season, the championship will distribute a total prize fund of €10,000. From Round 3 onwards, a €2,000 cash prize will be randomly raffled at each event among SEAT Supercup competitors. To be eligible, drivers must have entered all previous 2026 championship rounds and must be present at the event when the draw takes place. Each eligible driver may only win the prize once during the season. The initiative is designed to reward those that are commitment to the full championship, ensuring that every dedicated competitor — regardless of their position in the standings — has a genuine opportunity to benefit.

The championship’s unique balance-of-performance system will continue in 2026, maintaining the ultra-competitive nature of the series. The top three drivers in the standings run reduced power outputs, while reverse-grid elements further enhance the racing spectacle, ensuring that no single competitor can dominate and that close, hard-fought battles remain a hallmark of the series.

The 2026 calendar features seven rounds across Ireland and the UK, providing a mix of technical and high-speed challenges. The season opens in April, includes trips to Bishopscourt, Knockhill and Anglesey during the summer months, and features multiple visits to Mondello Park, where the championship will also conclude in October.

The 2026 season is proudly supported by The Johnstown Estate, Mount Juliet Estate and Trim Castle Hotel, alongside partners Hankook Tyres, VP Racing and Fish Graphics & TDR. Their continued backing highlights the strength and growth of SEAT Supercup Ireland as it enters another highly anticipated campaign.

With identical high-performance machinery, a professionally regulated championship structure, a €10,000 prize fund rewarding commitment, and a seven-round calendar across premier circuits, SEAT Supercup Ireland heads into 2026 with major momentum and even greater incentive for drivers ready to take on the challenge.
